Postsecondary and Workforce Readiness

Life after high school is different from what it used to be.

As students embark on their high school career, families have many important decisions to make regarding college and higher education options and planning, also referred to as postsecondary education. By 2020, three out of every four jobs will require some form of postsecondary education or training. That adds up to 3 million jobs in Colorado. Students who graduate and work in Colorado will need in-demand skills that meet business, industry, and higher education standards. In Englewood, we are committed to ensuring that all of our students are ready for college and/or career when they graduate from high school.

Englewood Schools’  department of Postsecondary and Workforce Readiness (PWR) focuses on preparing all students to achieve their individual postsecondary plan by:

  • Offering relevant and rigorous courses and programming that engage students
  • Utilizing effective systems and supports to ensure all students have a plan for life after high school
  • Providing multiple pathways to a high school diploma

Englewood Schools has several initiatives in place to support the postsecondary success of our students. Please visit the program links in the menu on the right or contact:
