PowerSchool/GradeBook will be down all day on Sunday, 11/23 due to planned maintenance work.

Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving from ITS!

Beginning Saturday, November 22nd through Sunday, November 30th, and Saturday, December 20th through Sunday, January 4th the Roscoe Davidson Administration Building (RDAB) will be closed to the public. These closures will provide an opportunity for employees to take time off to spend with family and friends.

The time has finally come when our projects are nearing completion and all staff will be in their respective places! To clarify for everyone involved (all EHS, EMS & CFAHS staff), every staff member and every room should be packed and ready to move by the end of the day on the 19th of December. Packing supplies will be provided as we lead up to that date. If there are specific needs please contact Donovan Nolan with CBRE and he will coordinate.

CBRE and Bailey’s Moving will conduct the move during Winter Break which is currently scheduled for the 29th, 30th, and 31st of December. It is planned for staff to have access to their spaces on the 2nd of January to prepare for the start of school on the 7th. Please understand these dates and focus on the move plans that were provided in your staff meetings. Our goal is to make this move as smooth as possible and create the least amount of disruption for all involved! Thank you for your collaboration and effort put forth!

Migrate your emails from FirstClass

After December 31, employees will no longer have access to emails stored in FirstClass. Please be sure that you have migrated all your emails to Google.

The second window for Acuity testing is from December 1 – December 12 and all scoring needs to be completed by January 6. Session one in both math and reading, will be an online assessment only, requiring no Constructed Response or Performance Based Responses from students. Session 2 will contain both items that can be answered on-line, and items that need to be answered on a paper form. Principals have already submitted orders for any requests of paper copies of Acuity form B.

Quarter 2 Writing Data

The end of Quarter 2 is Friday, December 19. Please ensure that students have completed writing prompts for quarter two.

Acuity B and the Quarter 2 writing prompt

In order to spend less time assessing students, elementary principals have agreed to use the student score from the quarter two writing benchmark as the score for the Acuity written response. In essence one writing task will count for two assessments. You can expect that we will provide a translation chart by grade level so that teachers can enter a comparable level of proficiency into the Acuity system as the student received on the district writing rubric. You will also be reminded to communicate with your students to “skip” this question on the Acuity Assessment. Specific information will be in the next issue of ACT Now, but if you have questions, please ask your principals.

Aspire Second Benchmark Assessment

January 6 Teacher Workday
Though quarter two ends before winter break, a teacher work day is not available until January 6th. The scoring due date for any quarter two assessments will be extended until the end of January 6th so that teachers can use this day to score student work, if they choose.
