Important Information for Everyone

New Englewood Schools Website Chosen

After an RFP process, it has been decided that Englewood Schools will be transferring to a new website platform by July 1, 2014.

The new platform offers many advantages over our current website. It will be mobile-device and iPad friendly, have a better look and feel, and be easier to use. Some of the advanced features include single sign-on capabilities, integration with PowerSchool, more calendaring options, better communication capabilities to students and parents, and will allow for teachers and site administrators to make website changes or send classroom messages remotely from a mobile device.

Moving to the new site will involve transferring the current information on the website to the new platform. If you are someone who uses the current website to host your content, please begin thinking about what content you would like transferred to the new site and what content might be out of date or not relevant anymore. More details to come.

If you have questions or concerns about this process, please email julie_mcginley@englewood.k12.co.us.

PERA 457 Investment Plan

The District is pleased to announce an investment opportunity, in addition to the current PERA 401K and various 403B options. PERA has available to employees a 457 Plan. This plan has many advantages, but one advantage is the maximum contribution amount is totally separate from the amount that can be contributed into a 401K and 403B combined. The PERA website has a tremendous amount of information on these plans and can be accessed at www.copera.org. Please see attachment for some basic information. If you are interested in this investment opportunity, please sign up at www.copera.org, log in with your PERA personal identification number, and walk through the setup steps under “Enroll in 457 Plan”. If you have any questions, please contact Jon Kvale at x-2014. Happy Investing!
